Hi bloggers!

Its been a while!  Over the course of this year I am proud of my poetry collection. I really like this project because it forced me to write poetry like I always wanted to. My goal for this project was  to create a collection of poems that readers might be able to relate to and to submit a couple for publishing. I have done that and I have not heard back yet from the publishers. As I stated before, their response will take one to three months. My poems really helped me relieve stress and get through some rough days. I still would like to continue writing after this year but it has been hard to sit down and stop everything to just write.
However, I would've liked to have more poems for readers to read and to post more consistently. It was really hard finding time to write about how I felt throughout the year and then to create it into a poem. If I were to do this project again, I would try to make more time and start earlier in the year so that I could create more poems than what I have now. I'm really happy with how they turned out and I have friends who check my blog and ask me to write more poems and it makes me happy that they are interested in reading them and that they can relate to what I'm saying.  Over this year,  I've learned a lot about myself through my writings. I've discovered new ways to express feelings and thoughts and ideas to make them understandable to other people rather then just trying to make sense of it to myself. I hope this encourages other people to make something they always wanted to do become a priority.
I'm very anxious to hear back from the Rattle Submission company soon and hope to hear some good news.  I don't expect anything to much but a published poem would feel like quite an achievement. I also think I pushed 20Time on the low end of my priorities at times when it got too busy with school and life.  Honestly I am a little disappointed with myself.  20Time was a great opportunity to be given time in class and do something extraordinary with it.  If I were to do it over again I would probably choose a different thing to do because I wanted to do bigger things and expand my options but instead I think I thought about how busy I was going to be and got caught up in worrying.  I was worried that I wasn't going to have enough time to do my project and fail or not finish in time,  I should have remembered to take the chance considering Mr. Provenzano gave me "the permission to fail" card.
If i weren't to have done poetry I probably would have liked to pic a charity every month and raise money for it during the school day or organize a charity event that benefits the society. Although this would have been an over whelming workload in addition to my busy schedule ,  still like the idea of taking on more and working for a purpose and to make change.  Over all, I have learned that going after opportunities and really taking detail and putting in hard work about something you are passionate about can be fun at the same time.  I hope this inspires other people to get the determination, motivation and go after something they want to to truly be happy.
                                                             Thanks For Reading,
                                                              your blogger Reanna

Hi Bloggers!

Recently I've been so busy, it has felt like a fight to find time to relax and focus in on my project. Writing poetry has been a little slow and I'm still waiting to hear back from the website I submitted my poems to.  Lately, I started to stop worrying about my poetry and have felt good about the success of my creative writing project that I have put my patience and time into thinking about the upcoming event, TEDx.  I'd love to speak for the event and connect with the audience. Time is running short and I am stuck between two ideas I would love to share.  I am planning on utilizing my weekends to the best of my ability to focus on writing my speech for the best possible outcome.  Once I establish my idea for the talk, I will be sharing it with all of you.
With much competition and little time, i'm getting worried about my speech but, I know I will choose something I am passionate about and hope that other people will relate to my subject as I do.  I'm a little worried about what others might think or say to contradict my idea's but, with in a month, I'm sure our whole class will me more than prepared and our nerves will bring out the best in us.  Keep reading and I'll keep in touch!

Hi readers!
In the last blog post I said how I was going to meet a teacher from Maire Elementary School to discuss my creative writing project that I wanted to introduce to second graders. The meeting from last Wednesday went well and the teacher from the second grade class agreed to set up the project. I am planning to come in on March 30th and 31st to do the creative writing project. However, I  had to make permission slips for the kids in order to show their stories and pictures of them in my end of the year speech and project.   I have just sent the permission slip's to the teacher and this weekend I am working on fixing up my presentation to show the kids next week.  I really hope the kids learn something and remember my presentation throughout their years of creative writing.  My project is simple and impactful.  I set up a set of questions that each kid can go through every time they start to write a story that will help them create a plot and make story writing easier.  I also had an idea of showing them a picture in creating their own story based off of the one picture. This will exercise their mind on creativity as well as help them in the future for timed short story writing assessments. I'll keep in touch, wish me luck !

Hey bloggers!
I have some great news today!  I have just submitted four poems to a website called Rattle. I should be hearing from them in about 1 to 3 months,  just in time before school ends. My page views recently have increased each day. Thank you for reading my blog.I have also just got in contact with a second grade teacher from Maire Elementary School.  She teaches second grade. I am meeting with her on Wednesday morning to go over my idea for the creative writing project. I wanted to focus on second graders because they are at an impressionable age. I want to teach the kids the education can be fun and rewarding. If all goes well I hope to achieve a new perspective of creative writing from  children and create a lasting impression on them as well. I plan to collect their projects and showcase them along with my speech at the end of the year.  I'll keep you updated, thanks for reading!

Over break I wrote a new poem called "Contemplating".  I'm happy with it but, it is subject to change.  I also posted it on my Instagram to promote my blog and get some people to look at it.  Another thing I did was try to submit my poems to this website.  The only trouble I had so far was that I need to create a cover page first.  The website only lets me submit four poems at once and I don't know which ones I'd like to submit as the four.  Hopefully I'll get feedback from other viewers to pick the best ones.  After I submit my four I can't submit another four until after they respond which they said could take up to 4 months.  On the other hand, I also am getting ideas together to speak with the elementary schools to have some kind of creative workshop with the kids to work on creative writing.  My future goals are to complete my cover page to finish my submissions and email the teachers from the elementary schools to try and help me come in and do an activity with the kids for creative writing.  Thanks for reading!

Last Friday during 20Time, I found this website that I can submit all my peoms to year round. I plan to submit them by Friday.  I added another poem to my blog as well and have another one to add by Friday.  So far, I have been notified that I've received 560 page views.  Although this is a lot, I would like to expand that number to my school teachers, friends, and family members.  I plan on posting more things about my blog on my Instagram and social media in hopes that people will come to my blog amd view everything. Its a work in progress, that's for sure! :)

Hey fellow bloggers!

I've been a little stuck lately in the writing process. I've been so overwhelmed with life and stress that I haven't had the time, energy or creative ideas to sit down and just write lately.  I'm working on it though. During these hectic days, I've been thinking about how I need to work on my project more and taking the next step. I've had random ideas pop in my head through out the day. For instance, i have some cool new topics i think i want to erite about like childhood and time. This week I'm planning to put those ideas on paper! I better get working! :)
